  • What product is the Mustang Express Pipeline transporting?

We’re transporting clean-burning natural gas — a critical energy source that supports both domestic use and export demand.

  • Why is the Mustang Express Pipeline needed?

As natural gas production in Texas grows, Mustang Express helps ensure it gets where it’s needed most. This project adds vital takeaway capacity, reduces flaring, and improves the efficiency of getting product to end-use markets — including Port Arthur LNG Phase II.

  • What route will the pipeline take?

The Mustang Express Pipeline is a 240-mile intrastate natural gas pipeline designed to safely transport up to 2.5 billion cubic feet per day from receipt points in Colorado and Waller County, Texas, to Port Arthur LNG II (“PALNG II”) liquefaction facility in Port Arthur, TX.

    Counties include:

    · Austin County

    · Colorado County

    · Harris County

    · Jefferson County

    · Liberty County

    · Montgomery County

    · Waller County

  • Where is the natural gas coming from?

The gas will be sourced from rich production regions in Texas and the surrounding area — helping keep it local while connecting to global markets through LNG.

  • Will the pipeline cross my property?

If Mustang Express needs access to your property, a representative will contact you directly. If you haven’t heard from us, your land is not part of the proposed route. We always work with landowners respectfully and transparently.

  • What steps are taken to minimize land impact?

We restore all disturbed areas to as close to their original condition as possible. Erosion control, vegetation re-establishment, and environmental stewardship are built into every stage of the project.

  • How is Mustang Express supporting Texas communities?

In addition to creating full-time jobs, the project is expected to generate approximately $67 million in annual state and local tax revenue once operational, helping support schools, infrastructure, and services in local counties.

  • How many people will be working on the project?

During construction, we anticipate total job creation to exceed 4,400 experienced workers. Once operational, Mustang Express is projected to support 45 direct jobs and 323 jobs in Texas.

  • What is the diameter of the pipe used?

The pipeline will be built using 42-inch steel pipe — a high-capacity standard for modern intrastate transmission.

  • How deep will the pipeline be buried?

It’ll be installed a minimum of 3 feet below ground, and at least 5 feet below surface at road crossings and sensitive locations.

  • How wide is the right-of-way?

We’ll maintain a 50-foot permanent easement, with an additional 75 feet of temporary construction workspace where needed.

  • When will construction begin, and how long will it last?

Construction is scheduled to begin in 2028 and end in 2029, with full service starting shortly after.

  • Will the project use eminent domain?

Only if absolutely necessary. Mustang Express prioritizes working directly with landowners to reach agreements before considering legal alternatives.

  • Will my land be restored after construction?

Yes. Once work is complete, we’ll restore the area as close as possible to its original condition, in accordance with your easement agreement and industry best practices.
